Who are we?
Lily Retree was founded by Sanne and Hans-Peter, initially for plant medicine retreats in northern France. Meanwhile, we have expanded our work to include several retreats and ceremonies in the Netherlands. You can also come to Lily Retree for one-on-one sessions with different plant medicines and connected breathing sessions. Please inquire about the possibilities!
Some fine new collaborations have emerged as well, allowing us to offer even more great stuff. Check our calendar for more info.
Sanne
I am Sanne, massage therapist, breath coach and mother of two teenagers. About 10 years ago, I realized that I wasn't really living my life. I needed profound change. After all kinds of workshops and retreats, Ayahuasca came my way. Immediately in my first trip I felt the enormous potential of this medicine. It wasn't fun, but it had such a deep and positive impact that I immediately did several ceremonies. It changed my life. My consciousness was expanded, I learned what surrender and trust mean, got rid of a lot of tension and sadness, encountered birth trauma, gained a deep sense of oneness, gratitude and so much more. I (re)found my zest for life, the basis for my further growth and development.
I did the Ayahuasca Facilitator training with Joop van der Hagen of Proceswerk. Initially mainly for my own development and understanding, but 4 years ago I felt the call to start facilitating ceremonies myself. It is so special to be able to guide the journeys of the participants, to be present in their processes and to create a safe space for them in which they can let go of everything in order to travel deeply.
I have done several courses and trainings in recent years to keep developing myself in the field of work. Since 2023 I started the three-year Phoenix training (transactional analysis, NLP and systemic work). This allows me, among other things, to expand our offer in the field of integration.
Hans-Peter
Over 10 years ago, after several encounters with other psychedelics, the Mother Plant came my way. From the first ceremony I felt a deep coming home. After several ceremonies and retreats in Europe, I was able to deeply encounter the Mother Plant in its natural habitat in Peru at the Shipibo.
Several years ago, I felt the call to work with the various plant medicines. I felt I could navigate the world contained within the journeys I was embarking on. In guiding others, I feel and hear that I am an anchor in this dimension so that participants can dive freely and let go and face what wants to be seen.
My trust in the wisdom of plant medicine and the universal motif, love, provides grounding in your journey.
I feel a deep gratitude for the opportunity to walk this path. It is magical to be able to dive into the depths with the participants, witness the various processes, ensure safety and tend the field.
Gijs
This is Gijs, Gijs usually comes with us when we do retreats in France. He feels very much at home there. Participants are all in love with him, just as we are. He has already played a role in many trips.
If you have a severe cat allergy, let us know and Gijs will stay home. If you only have a mild allergy we will make sure he doesn't sit on your face during the trip. If you don't like cats you will be cured of this by his presence. His love is not completely unconditional. And not so transparent either.
Gijs is already friends with a raccoon, a wild mother cat and her kittens (Gijs is innocent) and basically everyone he meets. Only the French mice have reservations.
And beyond that...
... we work in a few different formations. Hans-Peter organizes with Margit ceremonies in the Netherlands and retreats in France, Sanne organizes retreats and ceremonies in the Netherlands with Joost.
In addition, Sanne organizes Breath Sessions (connected breathing) in the Amsterdam area, individually and for small groups.
